You've written many articles that represent both sides of a persective...I actually agree with everything you wrote. Men in general, not all but many, don't grow up because they don't have to.

I feel grateful that I am with somebody who really holds my feet to the fire and both expects and trusts that I will at least try to do the right thing. She has asked me to adjust my speech, be open with her if and when I was thinking of doing something that went against what we agreed to, and watches many of her girlfriends go through abusive relationships. I love her so I make a sincere effort to meet her how she wants to be met - which she has acknowledged time and again and has inspired her to support me with 100% of her heart and energy.

I do think that people sometimes need a break from relationships.......not every apple is bad. But after a bad experience, we can need a break.
