You make some good points but I will challenge one here: Airbnb didn't cause the housing crisis. If anything, they are taking travel housing out of the hands of big hotel corporations, and empowering normal homemakers to earn a little extra. When I'm traveling, I'd much rather stay in a bed 'n breakfast style cottage located behind somebody's main house, with a personal recommendation to the best local chef, than pay ridiculous amounts at the Hilton and wait to speak with the Concierge.
