A huge part of Trump's vote was moderates and independents.

Who just felt either a) the country was going in a bad direction, and despite Trump's flaws things were better under him,

or b) Joe Biden did alright except now he's senile, Kamala looked absolutely unfit to govern, and at least Trump was the devil they knew not the Door #3 they didn't know.
