Yeah I'm not an academic so common sense is usually enough for me.

I had a girlfriend tell me the exact same line: "no wonder married men live longer, their wives force them to go to the doctor..." after I put off my annual checkup for about a year.

Which is kind of how I started thinking about this. I mean, there may or may not be studies about causations to why married men live longer. But the rationale makes sense.

As for sex, I've lived sexually starved and I've lived sexually gluttonous. Right now I'm happily somewhere in the middle. I could agree with at least most of what you write about male sexual frustration. Kind of glad I no longer suffer from that. But that is another story.
