This is not a one-dimensional issue.. trans people also experience an above average rate of mental health disorders, many of which have higher dying rates than the norm.

I really do support trans people getting the support, psychological and otherwise, that they need. I do feel that if trans activists did not focus so much on wedge issues, such as trans women in women sports, going in front of congress litmus testing conservative Republicans with "Do you believe that men can get pregnant? No? Then you are transphobic" and other absolutist ultimatums that has proven to turn public sentiment AGAINST trans people. Instead if the trans lobby were to focus on suicides, housing discrimination, and workplace equal opportunity, then some progress might be realized.
