The USA is not a Democracy, it is a Republic. This is something that is acknowledged and taught from grade school through adulthood. And, you might consider, a Republic works fairly well. Not perfect, but fairly well.

So what's the problem? A Republic, is how the Constitution was written. Corporations don't elect politicians, the people do. You really think Corporations wanted Barack Obama in office instead of Mitt Romney?

If you have a better example for government, spit it out. Monarchy?
