The other topic, about few(er) of non-violent men seem to be helping to protect women: Yes, I agree.

I do have memories of seeing the Alpha Male of a group, tell their less-than-respectful companions things like, "SHUT THE FUCK UP AND GO APOLOGIZE TO YOUR GIRLFRIEND RIGHT NOW!!"

And if the asshole didn't, the other men would kick his ass.

Almost literally.

We need more of this.

It's called responsibility.

Unfortunately a lot of otherwise-qualified men are discouraged from stepping up in leadership positions these days.

For which there are many reasons/causes.
