I don't think a "divorce" or secession between red and blue is possible. There are huge democratic constituencies in places like Georgia, and even Texas. And Republicans in Pennsylvania and Wisconsin. Not to mention now purple states like Virginia and Arizona.

So I don't know they would be divided up, nor do I know how an "Eastern Democratic States" would form one nation with "Western Democratic States", considering the Dakotas down to Louisiana forms a hard red line.
