The only part of that I would challenge is the part where Democrats try to focus on Political Truth. They are just as Political Power hungry as any Republican. They just message it differently.

But you're right. Democrats have joined with Republicans to block any third party from effectively making a difference. Look at Pennsylvania: over the last 20 years both Republicans and Democrats enacted laws to make independent victories near impossible.
