Right now, Christianity is not an overwhelming force in Conservative Circles. Other than maybe Abortion.

Conservatives in the USA have always been at each others' throats: moderates vs tax hawks, military vs libertarians, Christian Right vs libertarians... they seem to win every landslide because they are not Democrats. But Republicans always end up losing in landslides, because they can't agree on a direction.
