My other comment: "I agree that men are powerless over a woman's decision once she's pregnant, as it should be."

Two thoughts on this. 1, As a man, if I know I have a child on the way, I will get excited, change my life around, etc. If then I find out suddenly the mother terminated the pregnancy, I'm going to have a reaction. Especially if it was done without even speaking to me. I understand it's a woman's body, so it's a woman's choice. But if men's feelings are so callously disregarded, that will incur bad karma that will rear its ugly head soon enough. (I don't know what form it will take)

2, It could very easily be said, "women are powerless over a man's (financial) decision once she's pregnant, as it should be." Again I don't subscribe to this, but in a black & white world purely about power, the two are equivalent.
