My girlfriend used to be a gamer as well. And she is 100% against it - I agreed not to play any computer games as long as we are together.

To be honest, I do miss it sometimes - building a city, or a factory, or blowing things up is kind of fun. Not to mention beating somebody in a contest. But she is VERY strongly opposed to it having any redeeming social value.
