Successful and well-to-do women want companionship. They don't need more money, and they don't need more status - once they have established themselves.

Women ASPIRING to reach a higher social class, might be more social class discriminatory. But once you're 40, successful, and alone, it sucks. "I just want a first grade teacher, to come home to" is a direct quote I've heard.
