If the Republicans could sort out their own identity, and become truly a party of inclusion, the Democrats would be stick-a-fork-in-them done.

Asians, Latinos, and Jews are all being abandoned by the Democratic Party. But the Republicans still live in their bubble.

I like your phrase, thread the needle. It would require some finesse, and some leadership which nobody present in the GOP has. But, if anybody can do it, the sky's the limit.
