If Elon Musk has $300 Billion, and the government confiscates 2–3% of that, outside of the already-passed tax laws, that is confiscation of his property.

I consider that an act of evil. It is the same tactic that Stalin used against the borgoisese in USSR — take from the wealthy without their permission.

Elon Musk can VOLUNTEER to share a little of it, if he chooses. But we cannot force him to do so.

I would rather trust charity and philanthropy, voluntary gestures, to cure society’s ills, than government and force. It’s not like Government would do anything useful with those billions, anyway.

This country has moved hard left on almost every issue imaginable: racial issues, socialism, climate (although not far enough left here imo), LGBTQ+ issues, gender equality issues, drug issues… and education. The only issues where USA has not moved left are guns and abortion.
