I was one camping in the Bay area, one of those drive-in camping spots. We were next to a tech bro plot, and there was a baby screaming for attention. But all of the guys, and some girls, were too busy making jokes and telling stories. My girlfriend at the time, said to me (because nobody else was with us), "pick. up. your. fucking. kid."
When I was growing up, a lot of people talked about how our technological advancement has far outgrown our human advancement, and if the two didn't come into balance, it would not end well. At the time, they were talking about nuclear weapons. But the same could be said about today's nepotistic, sycophantic, aspy, ultra cutthroat, simple-humanity-blinded culture in which Elon Musk is enough of a fit to be a king.
I've liked Twitter for up-to-the-second breaking news about anything. That's it. I don't think Elon Musk can make Twitter any worse, because it had major problems. But I don't think Twitter Anonymous will approve of people diving back in.
The Right sees Musk as a hero the same reason they see Rogan as a hero. They acknowledge that neither are truly Right or "one of them." But both are effectively standing up to the Left - to great public performance. I'd guess the Right has some very smart strategists - who right now see Musk as a tactial chess piece. It serves their agenda to exalt him. And when it no longer does, they'll systematically roll out a different narrative.
