I seriously don't know what some of you people are smoking.

The Dems have 50 Senate seats. Blame "Defund the Police!" and other stupid overextensions in October 2020 for why the Dems have 50 Senate seats and not 53.

So the Dems have 50 seats. Note that "Democrat" does not mean "Progressive." The Democratic Party is not the party of Bernie Sanders. Bernie isn't even a Democrat. It is the party of extremely diverse ideological viewpoints.

It's not just Joe Manchin who isn't 100% on board. Angus King and Jon Tester have both publicly complained about the total cost. Others have likely privately complained as well.

The votes just aren't there to get to $3.5 Trillion. If you want to blame anybody, blame the people behind Defund the Police. Don't blame Manchin or Sinema. You are giving these two senators all the power they could ever want.

If BBB sinks, and if Intrastructure sinks, I guarantee you 2022 will be an utter massacre for Democrats. Georgia, Arizona, New Hampshire, Nevada, and maybe even Colorado will all flip Republican for Senate seats, Joe Biden will have a 55 seat Republican majority blocking him, and Donald Trump or worse will get voted back in 2024 - with full backing of the Senate and House to ram through whatever they want.

Some of you remind me of the people who said let's torpedo Obamacare because it didn't have the public option. If you would have just been smart enough to keep your mouths shut during 2020, passing BBB wouldn't be such a problem now.
