I haven't seen anything else in the last 10 years that comes even close to beating Bitcoin's value proposition - which very much aligns with the OP's premise. Store of value, fixed supply, quorum of adoption, etc.

ETH, SOL, other ETH-killers and all other coin-based startups (LINK, UNI, CryptoAnalytics, etc.) focus on crypto and blockchain as an emerging next-generation ecosystem for business apps. But that is a different value proposition.
