There are just as many anecdotes of men shouldering the burden so their wives can be lazy, alcoholics, cheaters, and/or perpetual victims.

Do you have any idea how many men I know, who wished they could get rid of their wives? Their wives are gold-diggers, or alcoholics, or manipulative, or all of the above.

There are two reasons why responsible men don't file for divorce: 1) their children, and 2) finances. Whereas most women who file for divorce will get custody of their children by default, and also nice fat spousal/child support paycheck. It's a pretty good deal.

Most divorced male friends I know, never want to get married again.
