I appreciate your open-hearted assessment, and willingness to see things with fresh eyes and an open mind.

Your last statement: people do care. But most people don't know what to do about it. Most on the left are trying to pervert the facts into a narrative - "this means white supremacists can shoot people with whom they don't agree on sight" and other nonsense. And people on the right, are feeling emboldened that open carry is a viable policy.

Somebody mentioned, there are no winners in this case. Which is very true. All we can do is prevent future tragedies. And this should be the real focus.
