Honestly, much of what DOGE and Trump is doing to cut costs, I agree with. Government spending is far too wasteful. And Democrats won't EVER do anything about it. Neither will (most) Republicans, which is why this Trump/Elon/DOGE opportunity may be once in a lifetime.

Now, if only they would terminate all military contractors, raise the social security retirement age, make the estate tax more egalitarian (reduce the threshold and cut loopholes), and stop mandatory raising of governmental budgets every year. Prioritizing being 100% debt free. Then we might really get somewhere.

It's not about totalitarianism. It's about reducing the size of government. Which is very much needed.
