- Trump did not “collude” with Russia to undermine the 2016 election. That was investigated and disproven by Patrick Fitzgerald.
- Trump never intended to sell classified documents.
- Giuliani explicitly said that campaign money was NOT used to pay off Stormy Daniels.
- Trump never attempted to mount a coup. Were military generals involved? He fought the election results (more than I think he should have), but at the end of the day he left peacefully and left Joe Biden a gracious note.
- Trump never incited an insurrection. That was QAnon.

- Trump’s economy was moderately strong coming in, but Trump kept it strong throughout his term except for two quarters during the pandemic. The stock market went up. The job market in 2020 rebounded to be fantastic.
- The worst economic downturn since the Great Depression happened in 2008, and it was called the Great Recession. If you seriously believe the two-quarter recession under Donald Trump was worse than the Great Recession, this is revealing of your partisanship.
- Putin has explicitly said he invaded Ukraine because Biden is weak. Putin annexed Crimea when Obama was president. Putin never touched Ukraine when Trump was president.
- Trump did not capitulate to all America’s enemies. He started a trade war with China. I am not aware of any concessions he made regarding Syria, Afghanistan, or North Korea. I don’t recall him begging Erdogan or Kim Jong-Un to do anything. I do think Putin played Donald Trump for his own ends. But it was Obama that bluffed a “red line” with Syria, and it was Biden that humiliated the US with his withdrawal from Afghanistan.
- The fact on immigration, is that Kathy Hochul and Eric Adams’ statements about illegal migrants entering New York, are very similar to what Trump was saying back in 2016.
- “Nor is there a crisis at all.” Are you seriously suggesting there is no illegal immigration crisis in this country now in 2024?
For the record, I am not a Trump supporter. I believe I’ve said that. I think he was a big crybaby after he lost 2020 fair and square. I have said MANY critical things about Trump on this forum. But your spin is completely partisan. You accuse my statement of being disingenuous, but you are being exactly that yourself.
