Hey I finally read this. And yes I see your point about takedown of modern societies. (The quotes from Jesus also give a harrowing glimpse into why fundamentalist Christians want the world to go to hell in order to trigger the Second Coming).

Unfortunately, and I know that you are an atheist, but any organized society will fall short "of the glory of God." And yes, my most pristine moments have come when I have taken a break from the addictive web of society.

It's why I live my life as half a hermit, ever since the pandemic. Once you take a break from the train of insanity, it is difficult to fully get back on.
