Guess I'm a 3rd gen American, and I started off traditionally enough, but ever since moving to New York, I have overwhelmingly dated foreign nationals. Part of it is that I've traveled the world as lot, part is that I like accents, and part is that I didn't follow the traditional college > job > Hoboken > marriage > 2 kids > move into suburbs by 30 life path.
I really like connecting with somebody who has lived a different life than me. With an Aussie girl now and I love giving her shit about how Vegemite is crap. In the past has been Venezuelan (learned about food, dance, and affection at a whole new level), Hungarian (extremely heartfelt people), Ethiopian (cultural subtleties were VERY abundant)... ethnicity really matters very little. But Culture is a wonderful thing to experience.
