Agree 100% on both of your points.

My only feedback is sometimes logarithmic charts tell a better story than linear charts. For example, "Cumulative Inflation" 2x between 1985-2008 looks a lot worse than the 2x between 1913-1919. But the former took 23 years, while the 1910s doubled inflation in just 6 years.
